Dust particles are sampled using a vacuum cleaner or pump with a filter attached to it. This ensures an accurate representation of the dust concentration in the area. Dust testing is generally done with a minimum dust area of 100 square metres. Dust testing compliance The following standards are used when conducting dust testing to ensure safety for employees: Part 4 Dust Classification- Australian Standard AS/NZS 1716 Dust Workplace exposure monitoring NZ- OHSAS 18001 Dust Sampling - ISO 6181 Stack testing in Auckland can help identify any problems with the chimney which might be responsible for elevated levels of pollutants in the atmosphere. Stack testing NZ is done by our professionals using either thermal imaging or ultrasonic equipment depending on the results from visual inspections. Stack emissions are measured during these tests so that they can be compared to government standards.
