Barkuma is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of supports for people with disability. At Barkuma, we understand Intellectual Disability, Learning Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our supports include School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES), Transition from High School to Work, Supported Employment (Barkuma Commercial Services), Open Employment (DES), Supported Independent Living (SIL), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Barkuma isn’t just for people with disabilities. As well as supporting our people to live their all, we’re also leading change towards more collaborative, connected and inclusive communities for all South Australians, and we believe every person can contribute toward that vision. We support employers and business hiring people with disability. We foster long-term relationships, working with both employers and employees to solve unique business challenges. Barkuma Commercial Services is a Quality Endorsed and HACCP Certified company with more than 50 years’ experience. We work with business to deliver high quality, cost effective and innovative solutions. Our dedicated teams can customise our services to meet your individual business and product needs. Our new state of the art facility allows us to meet the changing needs of the food industry including filling, weighing, sorting, packaging and labelling. We also offer general business solutions such as assembly, confidential document destruction, cosmetic and general packaging, mail outs and promotion, sorting, industrial rags and quality rework. By working with Barkuma, you are supporting employment opportunities for over 150 people with disability. Using both automated and manual processes, no job is too big or too small for our teams. |
