From one consumer to another, DO NOT USE Good Move USA for your move. The company is a scam. Without going into too many details, this company will rip you off. First off, they requested a deposit which I have now learned is not the norm for legitimate moving companies. Even though a deposit was paid, they will lie and say they never got it, even with proof that it was paid. They are so nice and helpful before you book but once they have your stuff and money, they could care less about you. In their contact it states that it is Federal law that they cannot charge you more money than your quote was unless you approve of it before they load the moving truck. They attempted to charge thousands more dollars than was originally quoted with the threat that they would unload you and leave you hanging the day before your move. I was threatened and conned to pay more money during an incredibly stressful time for my family when we were moving out of state. The ‘supervisor’ Eglis Mingle will scream at you and threaten to drop your belongings unless you pay up. The day before you have to leave your home. The company will tell you a date that they will deliver your stuff- it will be far longer so plan to sleep on the floor for over a week up to a month (they stand by their contract only when it’s convenient for them i.e delivering whenever suites them) The supervisor came up with an elaborate story that the person who took your deposit was scamming the company and they never got your money. Upon delivery, the company threatened to take our life’s belongings and steal it until we paid what they demanded. This was the most distressing situation I have ever encountered in my life and I will never use a moving company again in my life. I will always move my own belongings after this. I have filed a police report and will be filing suit against them for breach of contract and using fear and intimidation and to force us to pay them more. Beware consumers. Also, if you google moving scams it sounds like exactly what they did to us and how moving companies will simply slightly legally change their names after incidents like this to continue conducting business. So beware and don’t fall under the same scam we did
